The Mild Manifesto

by Ken on May 1, 2009

We, the mildly creative and the mildly productive, are a tender tribe, a calm, cool collaboration of travelers on a creative journey. We lead lives of quiet inspiration and are nourished by our shared imaginations.

Before we make money, we seek first to make meaning.

Before we attract customers and clients, we seek first to attract friends and kindred spirits.

Before we make a profit, we seek first to make a contribution.

We are musicians and storytellers, writers and artists, thinkers and dreamers, scientists, philosophers, and entrepreneurs.

We are not afraid to compete, but prefer to collaborate.

We are able to manage, but prefer to inspire.

We might not be experts, but we are enthusiastic about becoming examples of what we wish to see more of in the world.

We are less about getting fired up and getting things done, and more about settling down and doing the right things.

We are not perfect, but we are patiently persistent, gradually changing, slowly improving, and steadily creating things to share with our families, our friends, and our world.

We accept uncertainty, embrace the unpredictable and begin anew each moment, grateful for the opportunities our lives provide, in the time we are given, to amaze and be amazed by those we encounter, including ourselves.

Without any sense of urgency, we invite you to join us as we make our way into the mild to explore the endless possibilities.

Life is a reflection for where we really are, not where we think we are. So I am very happy to find myself mildly creative & in such good company. May our numbers grow & prosper.
