Developing self confidence is one of the keys to a successful career life. For people who lack self confidence, it is probable that they are unhappy of their life now because there is always hindrance to move forward. My question is - is there a quick way to overcome the lack of confidence?

Funny coincidence. A few moments ago I was reading a blogpost about "listening to the universe" for direction. Then I come here and get that answer that i was listening for although I hadn't even clarified the question.

You see, thanks to reading some comments about one of your other blogposts regarding "doing something daily" I, three days ago, began to follow the lead of some of your readers who started small with exercise, kept those small promises to self, and are stretching and growing that promise as I write.

Three days in a row I took a walk-no minimum time or length, just as long as I felt like. Two days ago I took another, same thing, where and how long I felt like walking. Yesterday I did a brief exercise routine. Today.......nothing yet, then I come to read about your 3 step confidence builing process, and there it is, that "message from the universe" that I wondered about....Duh...

The thing is no matter that it's so obvious and so simple, some part of me is quite attached to the practice of self-sabotage. But here I go, you all are my witnesses, before my head hits the pillow tonite, I will do a few exercises. Starting small, staying small for as long as it takes to get attached to keeping that promise to self. Then I can stretch and grow from there.

Thanks again Mr. Ken...:)

What a fantastic reminder, Ken. Naomi and Sonia talked about this in their Marketing for Nice People course - how important it is to become a person who finishes things and keeps the promises we make to ourselves.

Amazing how the little daily successes add up.

It is just that easy, too. The more you do it, the better you get and the better you feel about yourself and your work. :)

Hi Ken,

Short, sweet and so true. Most of us are waiting for confidence before we feel ready to do something, not recognizing that confidence is a by-product of doing something that we're not quite sure we can do, yet. By placing our confidence in our ability to learn, grow and evolve, we can give ourselves permission to learn the competencies we need in order to feel confidence in our skills, as well.
