I like my Sundays simple. For me, they’re good days to relax, rejuvenate, and review.
So, I’ve decided to simplify my Sunday posts and use them to simply share a few things I discovered and enjoyed the week before.
Without complicating things any further, here they are:
Cool Thing #1 – The Birth of Ruby
The Ruby Books appear to be a work in progress, and I’m not sure what they are exactly, but I dig the initial art work.
I also like the name of the site, RealizeWhatMatters.org. Both of these things are the brainchildren of Jeanne Demers, and I’m curious about her and what she’s up to. Looks interesting. Let’s all follow her on Twitter and find out in the days to come.
P.S. I also like the spelling of her first name. Jeanne. It’s probably pronounced Jeen, but wouldn’t it be fun if it were pronounced Gee, Anne?
Cool Thing #2 – Michele and Mary Madeline
I love my friend Michele. She’s a cancer survivor, but she’s so much more than that. She’s a thriver, a speech therapist, an entrepreneur, a great mom, and one of my favorite bloggers who will probably never make the A-list but ought to be on it.
Her posts are witty, authentic, touching, and inspiring. In this particular post, she tells about a terriffic charity, the Mary Madeline Project. I’d tell you about it myself, but I want you to meet Michele, so here’s the link: Love, Honor, and Cherish.
Cool Thing #3 – What Leah Creates
I don’t know her personally, but the headshot on her home page and the caption beside it make me smile. Check out Leah Creates and her work.
Cool Thing #4 – 3 Big Cheers for the Small and Intimate
My friend, Barbara Winter, turned me onto this post which couldn’t have come in a timelier fashion. I’ve been reflecting on these very things, but Suzanne Falter-Barns thought enough to write about them and did so very well: This Year I’m Going Small and Intimate.
Cool Thing #5 – Jimmy Fallon’s Cover of a New, Old Favorite
I love mishmashes. Here’s a mishmash of a great Neil Young impersonation and that crazy new song created and made famous by 62-year-old General Larry Platt and his memorable American Idol audition, Pants on the Ground.
