Hey, it’s that time again. Time for 5 Cool Things.

Cool Thing #1 – So You Think You Can’t Dance?

Dance is not just for the graduates of Juilliard. It’s for everyone. If you disagree, tell that to Greg Mozgala, who, despite having Cerebral Palsy, just danced the lead in a ballet peformance. Check out this inspiring story and video: Against All Odds: Dancing with Cerebral Palsy.

Cool Thing #2 – So You Think You Can’t Get Organized?

It’s tough I know. I struggle with it too. Thank goodness there are people who make it their business to help us manage our own. One very cool person who devotes herself to this task is Cairene MacDonald of ThirdHandWorks. She taps into your right brain to help you get in the right lane. I mean, what’s not to love about a creative organization consultant who digs roller derby?

Cool Thing #3 – So You Think You Can’t Concentrate?

Charlie Gilkey of ProductieFlourishing.com turned me onto a helpful little app called Concentrate. I’d explain it, but why not check out Charlie’s video?

Cool Thing #4 – So You Think I Can’t Come Up With Another Way to Craft Headlines?

Oh, but you’re wrong. There are lots of ways to come up with ideas for headlines. Just ask the folks at Copyblogger. They did a whole series on the topic, including this one: 5 Sure-Fire Sources for Headline Inspiration.

Cool Thing #5 – Poets and Their Poems – 20 Years of Poetry in the Round

The Keywest Literary Seminary has an archive of more than twenty years of poets reading their own poems before live audiences. You can now hear some of the best of those recordings at their website. Pay them a visit and have a listen. KWLS Audio Archives
